Featured Article - Bobber Fishing For Big Pike In The Weeds
Nothing is easier and more exciting than fishing for trophy Pike in the weeds using a bobber. In the spring and fall, large Northern Pike cruise shallow weed beds looking for easy meals. Floating a large minnow under a bobber in 8-12 feet of water in thick cabbage weed beds is a "great recipe" for lunker Pike.
Look for pockets in the weeds and cast into them, suspending a bait fish about 3-4 feet under the surface. Make sure to hook the bait fish in the tail to replicate injured prey and maximize quality hook sets.

Stream Fishing - Great Lakes Tributaries
Salmon and Steelhead can be found throughout the winter months in Great Lakes tributaries. Rivers and streams along Lake Ontario are prime fishing locations in fall and spring (November and December and April and May).
Some of the best Trout and Salmon streams along Lake Ontario are only a short drive from the GTA / Toronto area. They include: the Credit River, Bronte Creek, Wilmot Creek, Duffin's Creek, Oshawa Creek, Bowmanville Creek, the Ganaraska River, the Humber River, the Rouge River, and the Niagara River. Fishing other small streams along with rivermouths right along Lake Ontario can also produce large Rainbow Trout and Salmon. Native Brook Trout and Brown Trout can be caught throughout the year in these tributaries.
